Weather protection with Renovo Ultra-Proofer comes standard with our cabriolet roof valet.
A brand new fabric soft top comes with an invisible 'weather proofer' already applied and over time, this special coating deteriorates and needs replacing leaving your soft top roof unprotected from the elements becoming weak and more prone to damage.
Ultimate Valet Cambridge offer a varied range of convertible hood protection products including, Renovo® Ultra-Proofer and NOW a 2-Year Nano-Proofer, as an optional upgrade. These dedicated convertible hood products protect your convertible/cabriolet hood by creating an invisible chemical, waterproof barrier. The barrier prevents discolouration from ingrained dirt, tree sap, bird droppings, road salts and much more from penetrating into the fibres and doing damage to the convertible hood material.
Cabriolet hood protection products have a specially developed formula which contains Ultra Violet (UV) inhibitors and agents to prevent mould and mildew and prolongs the life of your soft top whilst maintaining the value of your car.

In order to price on cleaning and weatherproofing a soft top, we categorise vehicles by size.
Small - Fiat 500 , Smart ForTwo, Mazda MX5, Lotus Elise
Medium - Any Mercedes, any Audi, any VW, any BMW, including Mini, any Porsche
Large - Bentley, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar
Ultimate Valet Cambridge can now offer a few additional services for your cabriolet. From a 2 year nano protective coating to checking your vehicles drainage channels, flushing them through to ensure no blockages, and protecting your rubber and neoprene seals. Ultimate Valet Cambridge can provide a nano protective and hydrophobic coating which contains antimicrobial agents. The nano particles coat the fibres of your fabric hood, providing extended durability. It lasts for two years and also has the added benefit of darkening your roof and giving it a silky sheen. This can be added at additional cost.
Protecting your rubber seals is also very important. When you put your hood up, it latches into position above the windscreen, the windows press up against rubber seals. Even that is not enough to keep water out, those rubber seals often have channels in them to disperse the water away, so it isn't sitting above your doors and windscreen or forming puddles in the rear scuttle.
If these rubbers become dirty, so they don't form a good seal, or with age they become compressed, water can sit on them and leak past them, and before you know it, you have a car that smells.
If your convertible is having problems with the roof motors or electric windows, this may be why.
Therefore, Ultimate Valet Cambridge now offer a service where we flush through all the drain channels so that they don't become blocked with leaf litter and dirt, and we clean and recondition the rubbers using a specific product, designed for roof rubbers and neoprene.
The cabriolet rubber conditioner is expensive stuff, but I have not found another product like it. It conditions the rubber and neoprene, makes it soft, plumps it up, and if age has made it compressed and out of shape, it will spring back to its original form. Unless the rubbers on your car are so old that they have cracked and split, it makes them look factory fresh again, so it is worth the cost as this is much cheaper than buying and fitting replacement rubbers, which are often only sold in complete kits which can run into many hundreds of pounds.
